Internet of Things: Learning and practices. Application to smart home.

Abstract:

Internet of Things is becoming widely presentin our daily life. In fact, more and more devices able tointeract together have been recently designed and launchedin the market. Learning Internet of Things technologies isbecoming unavoidable in education. In this paper, we propose apractical approach allowing to progressively learn, by practicethe, essential concepts of Internet of Things applied to SmartHomes. From basic knowledge of C++ language and the useof Arduino or its derived, students can develop skills and alsosmart applications in the field of Internet of Things.
